Blackbird follows a brief period of time in two physically and emotionally battered individuals. The choices they have made coupled with unfortunate twists of fate have brought their dimming lives to an emotional valley. There is no sense of order in the characters lives; this will be emphasized through cluttered filth adorning their living space and an asymmetrical visual quality. A cool, dark color palate will not only indicate the winter season, but also emphasize the naturally cold and negative surrounding of a large populous city. The only warmth the characters experience is from their relationship with each other. Finally sharp, hard lines will correspond to the difficulty of their situations.
